Ethiopian diaspora is a new phenomena, and being in Diaspora is new for Ethiopians. "Being a diaspora" is not easy. Not easy even to accept that this situation is for good, forever.

That was the mode for Ethiopian history for many centuries. That is what during the revolution and even now usually called "ancient regime."
"Ancient" is the right word, "regime" is not. "Monarchy" is no more a regime than "democracy" and has many forms.
The autocracy survived for long due to the the evolution many cultural features but preserving the main three corner stones --
